Dog fighting is not new. It has been around for hundreds of years. In ancient times, dogs were needed to fight off animal predators to protect their people, property and flocks. Does the Dog’s Breed Matter?
This is a controversial issue. There are some who believe quite strongly that certain breeds have innate traits of aggression that make them more likely to inflict harm on human beings than other types of breeds. Opponents of this view state that a dog’s propensity for aggressive behavior is dictated primarily by the dog’s owner or handler and how that dog was trained and cared for early in its life.

The Australian Terrier is a working terrier with a compact, and small but sturdy body. His body is considerably longer than it is tall. The hybrid American Bandog Mastiff is a relative newcomer on the scene, and at present any kennel clubs does not recognize the breed. But these wonderful dogs possess an ancestry that is part American Pit Bull Terrier; part Neapolitan Mastiff, even though the breed is only 40 years old.
The American Bandog Mastiff is a breed of dog in the Molosser group. The “Bandogge” is a non-specific name for any Bulldog class Mastiff breed.(more…)
