Dog fighting is not new. It has been around for hundreds of years. In ancient times, dogs were needed to fight off animal predators to protect their people, property and flocks. They had to be capable of fighting wild boars, bears and mountain lions any other threatening predator. There are a historical group of dog breeds that were all related to a mastiff type of dog. Australian Terrier Dog Breed

The Magnificent American Bandog Mastiff
Thursday, February 3rd, 2005The hybrid American Bandog Mastiff is a relative newcomer on the scene, and at present any kennel clubs does not recognize the breed. But these wonderful dogs possess an ancestry that is part American Pit Bull Terrier; part Neapolitan Mastiff, even though the breed is only 40 years old.
The American Bandog Mastiff is a breed of dog in the Molosser group. The “Bandogge” is a non-specific name for any Bulldog class Mastiff breed.(more…)
